Elijah Just is optimistic that his agent is “busy at the moment,” as the New Zealand midfielder suggests a potential summer departure from Motherwell following his strong performance at the World Cup.
The 26-year-old netted three goals, even though his team did not advance beyond the group stage in the Americas.

Upon returning to Fir Park, he commented on his future: “When it comes to transfers during the window, that’s really my agent’s domain.”
“I hope he’s currently occupied, and I will definitely have a chat with him. In football, anything can happen.”
Just joined Motherwell from the Danish club Horsens a year ago and is contracted until next summer, with the Scottish Premiership side holding an option to extend for an additional year.
However, he has already been linked with Celtic before his three goals at the World Cup, building on an impressive first season in Scottish football where he helped Motherwell finish fourth.

“The World Cup has boosted my confidence and motivated me to continue striving for more,” Just shared with the NZ Herald.
“There was a time in my career, a year or two ago, when I was uncertain about what level I could reach.”
“I felt a bit stagnant, but now I have a renewed energy and belief.”
“I definitely want to challenge myself and see how far I can go—it’s something every player aspires to.”
“Playing in the World Cup gave me a taste of competing against top-tier players. So, we’ll see what the future holds.”
Just also expressed his eagerness to reconnect with friends and meet the new coach after former Rosenborg manager Alfred Johansson took over from Jens Berthel Askou, who has moved to Toulouse.
