Leao is on the transfer market as the summer window nears its end. The Portuguese forward has been seeking an exit from San Siro since the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, but a transfer has yet to materialize.

Recent days have seen reports that Aston Villa and Galatasaray are the main contenders for his signature. Current updates from Italy suggest that Leao favors a transfer to Villa despite Galatasaray’s higher financial offer for his personal terms.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Aston Villa has improved their salary proposal to €7.5 million net per season, while Galatasaray is reportedly ready to offer between €10 million and €12 million in wages.
Even with Leao’s preference for Aston Villa, an agreement with AC Milan has not yet been reached.

AC Milan aims to sell Leao this summer for approximately €50 million. Aston Villa has reportedly proposed a loan arrangement with an €8 million fee and an obligation to purchase for an additional €42 million, totaling €50 million.
According to Friday’s reports from Calciomercato.com, Villa is also open to presenting Milan with a direct, permanent transfer offer for €46 million, including bonuses.
