Liverpool’s forwards have faced significant challenges this season.
Alexander Isak was acquired for £125m from Newcastle last summer but has struggled with form, managing only four goals due to a series of injuries, including a broken leg.

Hugo Ekitike joined Liverpool from Eintracht Frankfurt for £69m and started impressively, netting 17 goals in his debut season. However, he is now facing a lengthy absence due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.
With Isak’s injury history, counting on him as the primary senior striker for next season seems risky.
Thus, it wouldn’t be surprising if sporting director Richard Hughes decides to pursue an additional forward in the forthcoming transfer window. Given the substantial investments in strikers last summer, it is unlikely that Liverpool will make another nine-figure signing.
A compelling budget-friendly option has emerged in the form of Serhou Guirassy, available for just €50m.

The 30-year-old forward from Borussia Dortmund is reportedly on the market for this low price, according to a recent report highlighting that only seven elite European clubs are eligible to sign him for this minor fee.
The report states, “While the club, supported by his contract lasting until 2028, does not actively seek to sell, they would likely consider offers of €50 million or more.”
“Complicating matters further is a €50 million release clause that applies solely to the ‘Big Seven’ clubs in Europe: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United.”
