Maghnes Akliouche, a 24-year-old midfielder, is set to depart from AS Monaco this summer. In a recent interview with Nice-Matin, he confirmed his desire to leave the club.
Having risen through the ranks at Monaco, the club has made it clear that the talented playmaker will be available for transfer at the right price. Numerous clubs have expressed interest, including Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and more recently, Liverpool, all of which have been linked with a potential move for the French star.
When asked by Nice-Matin about his plans for a transfer, Akliouche affirmed his interest. However, he acknowledged, “But I am focused on the World Cup.” He emphasized, “[The World Cup] is a significant opportunity for me, but my priority is the national team’s goals. I don’t want to disrespect my club by discussing the transfer window at this moment.”
Recently, a new contender for his signature has surfaced, with reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport. Khéphren Thuram is actively trying to persuade his fellow countryman to join Juventus. With interest from top clubs across Europe, it remains to be seen if the efforts of the former OGC Nice midfielder will prove fruitful.
