Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the Chief Executive of Bayern Munich, has praised Michael Olise, the French international midfielder, during an interview with T-online. The two-time Ballon d’Or winner (1980 and 1981) referred to the former Crystal Palace player as a “wonderful player” and “a great guy,” emphasizing his appreciation for Olise’s modest demeanor.
Currently under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029, Olise has been in exceptional form this season, reportedly drawing interest from various top European clubs. He has recorded 48 goal contributions in his second season in Bavaria.

When asked if Bayern could turn down an enormous €200m+ offer for Olise, Rummenigge recalled a historic bid made by Chelsea under Carlo Ancelotti in 2009 for Franck Ribéry from Die Rekordmeister. He recounted how he, along with Bayern figures Uli Hoeness and CFO Karl Hopfner, unanimously decided that they would never sell a player the club could not afford to lose.
“This unwritten rule still holds true today. For a player like Michael Olise, there’s no price that would make us reconsider,” Rummenigge stated firmly.
