Scott McTominay scored his 14th goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough for Napoli to secure a win as they dropped two crucial points in their pursuit of the Italian title.
The Scottish midfielder netted a precise 15-yard equaliser in the 60th minute during the away match against Parma, who had taken an early lead just a minute into the game thanks to Gabriel Strefezza.

This draw leaves Napoli, currently in second place, nine points adrift of leaders Internazionale, who achieved a thrilling 4-3 victory against Como on Sunday evening. Scotland teammate Billy Gilmour remained an unused substitute for Napoli.
Kieron Bowie also made headlines by scoring his second goal for Hellas Verona since moving from Hibernian in January. However, his impressive solo strike that equalised against Torino, where fellow Scotland striker Che Adams plays, wasn’t sufficient to prevent a 2-1 defeat for the visitors, who sit near the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Shankland continued to impress with his 18th goal of the season for Heart of Midlothian, converting a penalty to help them secure a comeback victory over Motherwell and maintain their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership. The competition for spots in the striker lineup for the upcoming World Cup finals is intensifying.
In the Championship, George Hirst celebrated his 10th goal of the season by scoring the second in Ipswich Town’s East Anglian derby victory against Norwich City, reinforcing their strong position in second place.

Oli McBurnie also made a case for a Scotland recall, netting his 15th goal of the season for Hull City. However, despite his efforts, the team, currently sixth in the Championship, couldn’t capitalize on the momentum and ended up conceding two late goals to Sheffield United following a red card for former Rangers midfielder John Lundstram.
In other news, Scotland Under-21 winger Emilio Lawrence played a pivotal role in Luton Town’s comeback to win the Vertu Trophy, with a 3-1 victory over Stockport County in Wembley. The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Manchester City, scored the equaliser, marking his second goal of the season, after Adama Sidibeh had initially put County ahead.
Former Scotland youth defender Kal Naismith assisted Luton’s second goal, contributing to the team’s successful outing.
