According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain have reached a verbal agreement with Aston Villa’s left-back, Lucas Digne.
PSG has communicated to Villa that they are willing to meet Digne’s release clause, which is believed to be under €10 million.

The agreement is expected to be finalized following the 2026 World Cup, as Digne is currently representing France in the tournament.
At 32 years old, Digne will likely become the second prominent player to leave Villa this summer, joining Youri Tielemans, who is also nearing a move to Manchester United.
Digne: A Strategic Addition for PSG
PSG is in search of a left-back to provide depth for Nuno Mendes, whose injury issues last season have underscored the need for reinforcements in that position.
Lucas Hernandez is currently seen as the backup to Mendes but has struggled to meet expectations.
Acquiring Digne would represent an upgrade over Hernandez, potentially granting manager Luis Enrique the option to rest Mendes more frequently next season.

The French international played a crucial role in helping Villa secure a fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season and to win the Europa League.
Digne has been a pivotal figure in the Villa defense since joining from Everton in 2022, making 182 appearances and contributing four goals and 24 assists.
He has also solidified his position as France’s first-choice left-back, surpassing Theo Hernandez in the national team hierarchy.
Digne is known for his reliable defensive skills, including crossing, passing, and set-piece delivery, making him a well-rounded full-back.
Prior to his time at Barcelona starting in 2016, the former Everton player enjoyed a successful three-year stint with PSG, where he collected multiple domestic titles.
