In a disappointing finish to the Serie A season, local rivals Inter and AC Milan both faced defeats. However, Juventus and Roma secured victories as they gear up for their impending Coppa Italia final.
Let’s summarize the highlights from the 22nd matchday of Serie A.

Como thrashes Inter in a shocking finale
Inter’s season ended on a low note with a 3-0 loss to Como. Veronica Bernardi kicked off the scoring with her second goal of the season, followed shortly after by Nadine Nischler, who finished a well-weighted pass from Liucija Vaitukaitytė. The third goal came when Bernardi intercepted a poor clearance from the Inter goalkeeper, allowing Nischler to head in her second of the match. This defeat snapped Inter’s six-game unbeaten streak, yet they secured a commendable second-place finish and a spot in European competitions.
Ternana surprises AC Milan
In a last-minute twist, Ternana secured a home win against AC Milan with Paloma Lázaro’s 92nd-minute goal. After receiving a perfect through ball from Lucia Pastrenge, Lázaro delicately placed the ball past the advancing goalkeeper, marking Ternana’s first victory since mid-February and lifting them to 10th place, leaving Milan in sixth.

Roma and Juventus end season with strong performances
Champions Roma sealed their successful Serie A run with a 2-0 victory against relegated Genoa. A second-half brace from Giulia Dragoni made the difference, scoring in the 51st minute with a slick left-footed finish and again 20 minutes later from Alayah Pilgrim’s assist, bringing her total to seven league goals this season. After the victory, Roma lifted the Serie A trophy in celebration.
Juventus also finished strongly, defeating Parma 3-1 away. Emma Godo scored first from a free-kick, followed by Annalise Rasmussen doubling the lead. Although Gaia Distefano netted for Parma from outside the box, Lindsey Thomas sealed the game for Juventus late on.
Fiorentina clinches narrow win on matchday 22
Fiorentina concluded their season with a slim 2-1 win over Lazio. Katla Tryggvadóttir scored first for Fiorentina before Sofie Bredgaard added a remarkable second goal from outside the box. Although Lazio scored late through Nikola Karczewska, it was not enough to initiate a comeback.

Though initial celebrations were halted by an offside flag, the referee allowed the goal to stand after review. Napoli couldn’t find a late winner, settling for seventh place.
