Denmark striker Amalie Vangsgaard expressed her enthusiasm about joining Women’s Super League team Aston Villa, stating she is “very happy and very excited for this new adventure.”
Vangsgaard joins from Juventus for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old forward netted 11 goals in 62 appearances during her time in Serie A.
“I’m really excited and believe it’s a very competitive league,” Vangsgaard added. “I can’t wait to immerse myself in the football scene in England.
“It’s a strong league, and I’m eager to join the football community in England,” she continued. “I’ve noticed how much the club values the women’s team, and the facilities here are excellent. I am looking forward to starting pre-season training.”

Vangsgaard made her debut for Denmark in 2022 and has scored 14 goals in 46 international matches.
