Mathieu Bodmer announced on the last day of the Ligue 1 season that he would be stepping down as the sporting director of Le Havre AC, citing internal challenges as the reason for his departure. This announcement followed Le Havre‘s successful effort to maintain their status in Ligue 1.
Bodmer’s departure from Le Havre was confirmed earlier this week, with plans for him to potentially join Kylian Mbappé-owned SM Caen in the third division. Meanwhile, the Normand club has been actively searching for a replacement, and according to a report from L’Équipe, they may have found their candidate.

Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba has held the position of sporting director at Ligue 2 club USL Dunkerque since 2023. Under his leadership, the team qualified for the promotion playoffs during the 2024/25 season and reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France.
Although an agreement between Le Havre and Ba has not yet been finalized, the Ligue 1 club is eager to conclude the deal.
