McEvoy Signs St Mirren…

Carrick McEvoy has signed a new contract with St Mirren, extending his stay until the summer of 2028, with an option for an additional year.

The 19-year-old midfielder secured this extension following his debut for the first team over the weekend.

In that match, he played the entire 90 minutes as St Mirren achieved a 4-0 victory against Dumbarton in their League Cup group opener.

Manager Craig McLeish commented, “This has been in the works for a while now, considering Carrick’s performance in pre-season and his ability to meet our targets.”

“I’ve known Carrick for many years, having worked with him in the academy since he was a nine-year-old. He captained our under-19 team and was a key player for us.”

“He is a very talented individual, and we see him playing a significant role in the club’s future. How much he features in the first team this season really depends on his dedication and performance levels.”
