Laporta reveals unexpected…

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta has officially announced that winger Abdul Aziz Issah will be rejoining the club after completing his loan spell.

The Ghanaian player is scheduled to return to Spain this weekend and will re-sign with the Blaugrana after spending the past two seasons on loan with Dreams FC.

Unexpected Revelation in the U.S.

While attending the World Cup final in the United States, Laporta interacted with fans and media during his time in New York.

One Ghanaian supporter inquired about Issah, who had been on loan with Barça Atletic, to which Laporta provided a surprising response.

“I know Aziz. We originally brought him in for our reserve team, and now he’ll be part of the first-team setup. He’s a great lad,” the Barcelona president stated, as reported by SPORT.

Until now, neither Barcelona nor Issah had made any announcements regarding his future.

Return to Barcelona

As reported by SPORT, Issah is expected to travel from Ghana this weekend and arrive in Barcelona on Sunday.

If Laporta’s comments are accurate, the winger could start training with Hansi Flick’s first-team squad as early as next week.

His loan officially concluded on June 30, during which he made 22 appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

Initially, Barcelona had not planned to activate the purchase option, but it seems that the situation has shifted.
